Beginning

From Italy with Love

The path of INSIEME begins in Milan, where a young Korean designer – our Founder and Lead Designer, Julia Choi – after graduating in Jewelry Design from IED Milan (Istituto Europeo di Design) and working for several years in both jewelry and luxury design companies, absorbing Italy's rich tradition and craftsmanship, suddenly decides to found her own jewelry company.

A bold choice, driven by courage and a desire for independence, yet above all, an act of love.

Foundation

Two Stories Fused Together

It’s 2020, the world is taken by storm by the Pandemic, people are fleeing big cities and foreigners are returning home, escaping the relentless lockdowns. It is during those tragic European nights that two people face a choice that is going to shape both their destinies and fuse forever their stories.

Facing this daunting crossroads, a dilemma arises in the minds of Julia and her long-time Italian boyfriend, Domenico Siciliano (our Creative Director): how can they find a way to stay together despite closing borders, restrictive laws, and their careers seemingly pulling them apart? How can they achieve their 'happily ever after' when the rational choice would be to part ways?

The choice that followed felt surprisingly simple and natural to them.

While Julia and her future husband, Domenico, declare their vows at the altar — alone in a deserted Milan, without the support of their loved ones, held back by the lockdowns — INSIEME is born out of their fateful love. Combining both their life experiences into a marvelous craft, made to last for eternity.

INSIEME Means Together

As testified by our original logo – later evolved into its current, more modern form – our company was born from the leap of fate of two people that decided to connect each other in an inseparable way.

That’s why they named their newborn company INSIEME, the Italian word for 'together.' It represents both their wish for a future always by each other's side and the belief that neither of them could have accomplished what they are now creating on their own.

So, every INSIEME piece is the result of both the technical precision and craftsmanship of an expert designer, and a process born from countless struggles, successfully overcome together. All with the sole purpose of bringing into the world the inextinguishable love they share for each other.
